The Centre offers a range of stress counselling and Employee Assistance (EAP) Services to its customers including:

A proven clinical model

  • A ‘Two Plus One’ session model
  • A brief, problem-focused, solution-driven approach
  • Aiming for a speedy return to normal functioning
  • Avoiding dependency

The ‘Two Plus One’ session model (Assessment & Planning, Review, Follow-Up) is cognitive in nature. Research shows that similar success rates are shown with three session as 16 session models. This model can be delivered over the telephone, supported by appropriate literature, in all but the most specialised cases. Where long-term treatment is needed, a referral will be made to the appropriate resources.

Management Information

All counsellors make confidentiality an absolute. However, a business cannot change its environment positively if it does not have feedback, and there may be those in the workplace who need to be involved in an individual’s recovery. We provide:

Key Person Support

Key Person Support is a psychological support and development programme for key personnel in whom the company wishes to invest particular time and resources in supporting.

This may involve key individuals undergoing a particular crisis or problems, of those who need an element of life coaching. It employs an expanded version of the 2 + 1 model.

Assessment

CCP’s expert psychological assessment and reporting service is available to assist employees with long-term sickness problems or work related stress problems. The reports clearly assess the issues of:

  • Diagnosis
  • Causation
  • Prognosis
  • Treatment required

 Such reports will help HR and personnel departments form a clear understanding of a staff member’s difficulties, if psychological in nature, and decide how to proceed. The report will indicate whether CCP can assist the person in the short term, whether longer term treatment by local resources will be necessary, or whether existing assistance is adequate.

Stress Management

CCP provides a range of courses for managers to enable them to manage stress in themselves and their staff. CCP has developed the concept of the Stress Defuser a selected and trained manager able to detect and respond to stress reactions amongst staff.
